As one of the few outdoor cultivators in Massachusetts, Neamat takes great pride in the art of outdoor cultivation. Our team is equipped with soil specialists and plant scientists who turn our acreage filled with prehistoric, rich flood deposits from the Blackstone River into their canvas.
Our story begins in 2018 with owners Grace – Neamat in Arabic – and John Sahagian rallying their Uxbridge, MA community to change local bylaws that would ultimately allow them to cultivate cannabis on their land.
It’s a tale of hard work, relentless dedication, and more importantly, community.
John first grew cannabis in his vegetable garden in 1979 and has since racked up over four decades of cultivation experience. His wife and business partner, Grace, brought her extensive retail and marketing background to the fields, making Neamat a humble, family-owned operation.
While many operators must grow their cannabis indoors under carefully controlled conditions, here at Neamat, we make sure nature is allowed to show us what it does best.

John is a seasoned agricultural expert with over 40 years of dedicated experience in cannabis cultivation. As the head cultivator at Neamat, he oversees all field operations, from setting up the fields to nurturing and harvesting crops, ensuring top-quality yields and sustainable farming practices.

Grace brings a wealth of retail and marketing expertise to Neamat, where she serves as the backbone of operations. Her responsibilities span from managing packaging and inventory to driving sales and marketing initiatives.
